Everyone deserves to have access to an appropriate and accurate education. Learners are really doing their best to finish their studies in order to reach their dreams in life and the expectations of their families from them. In today’s situation, everyone is experiencing and facing a big problem because of COVID. Obviously, because of this unseen enemy, learners are not allowed to have face to face classes. With this, the shift of learning modality became the primary drive of educators and school administrators to ensure that learners are given access to quality education despite the compromise brought by the pandemic. Evidently, online education is the weapon to continue the education in today’s situation.
The online learning environment promotes a better work-life balance. Online education is often preferred by some professionals, parents, and students who need a flexible school schedule, it is because online education is a type of learning that occurs through the internet; people who are most successful with online education tend to be self-motivated, skilled with scheduling their time, and capable of meeting deadlines. But, majority believes that everyone are smart, talented, hardworking and wise, because everyone have this so called dreams and future, and the future depends of what people do today. Now, in this way of learning, are the dreamers or learners still think that they can still pursue and unlock the possible things that will come and happen into their lives? The answer is yes because everyone’s future is in their hands, in fact, online education is a big help in today’s problem about education. According to USAHS, (2020), the pandemic has demonstrated what a practical, sustainable model online learning is. It keeps education accessible during a public health crisis, natural disaster, or other circumstance where students and faculty can’t travel. It can serve students across a wider geographic range, bringing in voices from across the country and beyond. Hence, studying online requires certain skills such as self-discipline, self-motivation and communication. When a person is an online learner, he/she will find that they will quickly hone and develop these skills which are important for the workplace. Wherein incorporating web-based engagement and participatory interaction into their courses, online learning offers more opportunities to foster critical thinking skills.
On another note, people have observed that online education is not for everyone because of lacking of technologies and poor signal, and these are the big problem of some learners, teachers and parents in online education. However, if there is willingness to learn and pursue the dreams in life, there’s a lot of ways to achieve what they wanted to achieve. Always remember, education is for everyone. They can work while taking online education; in that case, they can buy a cell phone that is one of the most important things in online education aside from their presence and willingness to finish their studies. So if they want to continue working at their current job while earning their degree, online education is a great way to go. In that case, in order to stick to a schedule and keep up with their coursework, they must learn self-motivation and self-discipline—qualities that will serve them well in their personal and professional life. So they must not make any reasons why they cannot continue their studies because of online education and cannot pursue their dreams, they must stop that excuses because today, positivity is the key to survive.
It is indeed true that online education unlocks possibilities especially that learners can learn at their own pace. Virtual education has opened up possibilities of rethinking the way they are doing teaching & learning. The use of educational technology tools can begin to transform the classroom, and most of it depends on the creative agency of the teacher. In response to the current situation, educators have been instrumental in finding new ways to ensure that learning continues for children by developing online and offline learning materials. Moreover, with this sudden shift away from the classroom in many parts of the globe, the adoption of online learning will continue to persist post-pandemic, and such a shift would impact the worldwide education market. By following an interactive, collaborative approach, the students and instructors will co-create the learning process and for the better. To all learners out there, everyone always have a chance to choose, and can always choose to have another chance to change, just be positive always. It is a conscious decision that everyone has to make on a daily basis. Positivity is about believing in the power of support and confidence and having faith that things will always get better. Taking a positive approach to life helps people develop a healthy pattern of self-talk which influences how they view and act in the world they live in.
